What is the difference between a
Forensic Psychiatrist and Forensic Psychologist?

Psychiatrists are treating physicians. They are
an advocate for their client. If they step out of the forensic psychologist
role then they are acting in an adversary role – which gets confusing for
the client. Psychologist observe the client and generally administer
tests, such as the ( Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI-2).
Forensic Psychologists render a professional opinion from the
psychological evidence they have gained from the client.

not a psychiatrist?
